Hi friends!

A few nights ago, I couldn't sleep. My thoughts were swirling everywhere, and I just couldn't relax.

So, I wrote.

If you are also a writer, you'll understand that writing is a way to express your emotions. And although this little snippet that I'm about to share isn't about me, it slightly reflects how I felt, although not to the extreme. 💖

When you're half asleep, you never know what might come out. 🫣

Maybe it will resonate with you, or maybe it won't. But either way, I wanted to share it with you since most of you (I would guess) are signed up for my blog to support my writing! So it's only fair that I share it with you! 🥰

Plus, I have writing as a category in my blog, so I have to write something for it sometime! 😆

~*~

At least spring is coming alive. At least sunshine has hope of return. At least the flowers are waking up.

But she cannot relate. Her past is too broken, her life is too shattered, and her dreams are too far gone to see, let alone touch.

All she can hope for is each next beat of her heart, each next breath of air.

She sits in a field of grass. Here, she can forget the things she doesn’t want to remember.

She can look at the beautiful things that God created without seeing the brokenness that has been born. She can feel the sun on her face and the soft grass beneath her hands and the gentle breeze playing with her hair.

And she can imagine what life could’ve been like.

Should I have warned you to have tissues in hand?

Just kidding. 😂

I hope you liked it, and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading! <3
